Bulletin 23/3/2017

Summary:

Calls for an official inquiry into the war crimes allegations against the SAS in Afghanistan continue after Former Defence Minister Wayne Mapp admits civilians were killed.  Greens proposal for more meaningful sustainable economic development indicators voted down by National.  The Greens raise the issue of oil drilling threatening Maui’s dolphins, and NZ government’s lack of support for a fact-finding mission into West Papua.  ACT and United Future offer to provide the votes necessary to push forward Resource Management Act reforms without the Maori Party.

(!) False tweets from National’s Paul Foster-Bell (@PARFosterBell) and New Zealand First’s Clayton Mitchell (@TickClayton), with false accusations of fake news and fascism respectively.

Echo Chamber National:

(!) No, Foster-Bell, the news is real, your tweet is the lie.  The link has actual video footage of Wayne Mapp acknowledging civilian casualties in the raid:

John Key leaves parliament.  Is this an election issue?  In my opinion, no, but the maybe some people vote for the person rather than the party or the policy:
