Candidates continue to meet and greet and take photos at Fieldays.  The housing crisis continues to generate headlines for Labour to retweet, while the Greens criticise the government’s refusal to acknowledge the UN child poverty report.  ACT wants usage fees for Auckland roads in a way that no other country does, because ACT doesn’t see a problem with creating a monopoly.

(!) The road network, if made into a “business”, will be a monopoly.  Airlines, accommodation, and grocery stores are not, and not allowed to be, monopolies.  Treating the road network as a business is not a market solution, it creates a market failure:
