Bulletin 13/7/2017

Summary:

National announces money for regional development, in what appears to be a response to New Zealand First’s campaigning.  The Maori Party announces policy for more rail services in the regions.  The parties are talking (that’s a euphemism, really) about each other a bit more, so maybe there is some life in the concept of deliberative democracy – there’s plenty of push-back on ACT’s suggestion that poor people shouldn’t have children, National has snark for the disagreements between the Greens and New Zealand First, while the Greens expose the funding for mining hidden in National’s development money.
