Bulletin 7/8/2017

Summary:

Both Labour and National announce policies for more trains on the same day – trains are great, of course, but while the Greens have always supported them, National seem only to do so at election time.  The Greens announce their Treaty policy, specifically their support for the Maori wording of Te Tiriti in which the Maori did not cede tino rangatiratanga to the Crown – I’m pretty sure this is a far bigger deal than most people realise, and I hope the Greens manage to stir up debate on this the way they made welfare a thing this election.  Bill English is a rock, lol.
